. . . was the question from the Dish Network installer at my house today as we were entertaining 14 yes, I said FOURTEEN, children.
Today we had Camp Runamuk, Day 2 – Gettin’ Dirty. We made “mud” cupcakes, bird houses, paper butterflies and mommy made a sad attempt at a cardboard boomerang . . .
. . . and here’s what we learned:
1) Bribing the children with Fun Dip for breakfast will ensure that they get their rooms clean in no… Continue

. . . was the question from the very irritated and judgmental man who almost ran my children over in the Target parking lot! “YEEEEEEEESSSS!” was my defensive and embarrassed response.
It’s Spring Break and my “oh sh*t, I’m a stay at home mommy” hives have kicked in. I have to entertain the children all day and maintain some semblance of my sanity. It’s gonna be a long week. But, on the bright side, Camp Runamuk is in full swing.
Here’s what I learned about… Continue

So it’s March Madness, and even the Nana has a “bracket” that she’s betting on. Well here’s what I’m betting on . . . absolutely losing my mind before March is over!!
A couple months ago, following a particularly in depth round of spring cleaning, Husband from Heaven and I were “casually” looking at new homes. Well, one thing led to another and 60 days later I am now sitting at the kitchen table in our new home. This is also the reason that I have not written in so long. … Continue

You know, the one that magically cleans up all the messes in the house and makes the room put back in order like Mary Poppins?! Oh, that’s right, mommy lives with three leprechauns who on a daily basis turn things upside down, pee in the toilet without flushing and generally leave huge messes in their wake!
Yesterday was St. Patty’s day and we did have a celebration, albeit not as extensive as mommy usually does. We’re in the midst of a major move and THAT little adventure… Continue

Here is an easier, less messy way to eat a cupcake! Next time cupcakes are served at a party try this trick:
- Simply take the bottom of the cupcake off (a simple twist and pull will make it easy).
- Next, put the bottom piece of cake on top of the icing. A cupcake sandwich!
- Now little ones can…

If you give a Lego box to one little boy, he'll most likely build something: a tower, a car, or even a spaceship. If you give a Lego box to my little boy, this is what he'll build:…

As you know, I've taken on reading as a part-time job. My consumption of night time television comedies is at dangerously low levels because of this. I actually missed "The Big Bang Theory" last week because of my reading! The humanity!

Each day that I walk home from Aliya's bus stop I chat with one of my neighbors who also has a child that rides the bus with her. We basically share our thoughts on general things like life, kids and whatever we can think of for our five minute catch up as we walk home.
I work from home and I didn't have the previous day scheduled to work so me being my Martha Stewart self (I like to think so) kept myself busy. I told her how I organized Ayanna's entire closet before she came home… Continue

As if I am still 10 years old, it makes me giggle to think that everyone goes to the bathroom. I won’t name names, but EVERYONE goes to the bathroom, myself included. </immaturegiggles>
There is little mystery as to what happens in bathrooms; most likely if I am in the bathroom I’m not using my sewing machine to make a draft dodger (yes, this is the max of my sewing machine skills), or designing a chocolate factory with a t-square, or…

With a young son, Christmas was not a major production although we all strived to make it special. It was important that baby’s first Christmas be filled with special memories we will share with him through pictures and stories when he’s a little older. But of course, our good intentioned gifts were not so well received.
In early November when my son went through a surge of developmental milestones, I upgraded Christmas. He was certainly not going be passive about Christmas… Continue
