Do you ever feel, that as the centrifugal force of the house, that mommy’s mood sets the tone for the the whole family? This Blog post came to me a couple of weeks ago, when my girlfriend said, “Can you Blog
about how when we are not good, the rest of our family never feels good?
And how we can pull ourselves out of these slumps?”
So really, what happens if mom’s not happy?…Continue

Today was the day for my girls to return to school. I now have a 7th grader and a 4th grader.
Yes I'm happy to be back into the routine of a some-what quieter day (and I'm happy that I get the computer to myself!), but I'm also sad that they aren't here. That they are growing up... growing up so fast! 7th grade?! How in the heck did my oldest reach 7th grade already?!?
I still feel like hanging outside their classrooms, waiting to see…Continue

It’s not in my nature to apologize. I rarely see a need for it, when I’m always in the right. But as I once again find myself spiralling down in to the second gaping pit of depression to tear open the streets of Crazy Town in recent months, I’ve simply found it far too difficult to type while clinging for dear life on the edge of the precipice. Frankly, I can barely maintain my tenuous grip on my sanity, never mind my keyboard. This, of course, means that I have sorely neglected my Mayoral…Continue

Yes it's that time again...Back to School. In some parts of the country like mine, kids returned to school as early as August 2nd. Needless to say I home schooled last year and it was a neat experience
but this year the kids returned to traditional school. Both my kids
have been actually really excited and today I walked my son to 3rd
grade. His teacher seems nice, and my daughter went to 8th grade and we
almost got lost finding some of her classes.

Author's Note: I wrote this post a few days ago and I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to post it...let alone to tired to stay up at night and post. So sorry for my absence this week. It is almost over. With that said, enjoy.
It looks like I am entering…Continue

Maybe it’s a prelude to choosing a dress for prom. Maybe it’s a right of passage we are just now finding out about. Maybe it’s just our own, quirky kid.
Whatever it is, we went…Continue
