Fight or Flight...to Paris!

Fight or Flight...to Paris!

I sat at the airport, fighting to gulp down the firmest (and most expensive) "pretzel bites" I had ever encountered.  I had spent the whole week vacillating between frantic worrying and manic excitement, and I was aware that I was eating way too fast.  I couldn't help myself...I was…

Memories Of Singapore

The very first time I went to Singapore with my girl was in March 2011. We took a VIP coach bus at 10pm and reached Golden Mile, Singapore at 5.30am. Never had we experienced such a tiring and exhausting night before, catching only a few winks on and off only.

Aaron calls me each night through viber (that is one of the reasons he gave me an iPhone to save costs :)  and last night we talked about our plans to go traveling again this year.  He told me that there is a good promotion in this certain airline to Sydney and Hong Kong in March and April respectively.  The flight rates…

Going Home

Home is where the heart is.  But, for my daughters, their hearts aren’t just under my roof.

As internationally adopted children, I know a part of them still resides in their birth countries.  As they grow up as red, white, and blue Americans, Elle is still Russian, and Bunny is still…

It’s the idea of my son starting his second year of college and the impending move that is having me love this patented garment carrier. The Clothes and Go allows you to easily carry clothes on hangers like no other carrier, box or piece of luggage can. Simply lay it on a wide surface (bed or floor), plop down the clothes right from their hangers, secure, close and go.…

Back to School - BillMyParents Smart Spend Card

Finally a spend-smart credit card for teenagers! When my son was 16 years old, he had an opportunity to go England and train with the coach of the Manchester United soccer team. Chase (my son, not the bank) had a bank account but due to under-18 age status, he was restricted with his ATM debit-only card which he could not use as a credit card. So, we nervously gave him cash to take with him. I bought several travel type garments (socks, money belts) in which he could hide the money. Not a great… Continue

That Bag is Mine! Finds in Luggage Tags

Lost and unclaimed luggage? Someone mistakenly walking away with my suitcase at the carousel? That’s just not in our plans this summer. There is nothing like a lost bag (invariably, the one containing all the essentials) to ruin a vacation. So, as I was preparing our family for our summer getaway, I came across some very cool luggage tags to help us find and even track our luggage. I thought you might find these finds useful too. There is here something…
