December is coming to an end in a matter of days. I never thought this year 2015 would be my most active year, in terms of traveling. Ever since I retired in February this year, I have been "on the move"... on the roads, on the planes. In March, it was an unplanned trip to Adelaide with my daughter and siblings, we spent a week there moving…Continue

I WAS ASKED ME WHETHER I VISITED GRAND CANYON when I was in Las Vegas... yes, I definitely did this time round. During our one week stay in Las Vegas, we went for a day trip all the way to Grand Canyon, it was a four hours drive... no joke about that. We started off early and passed through…Continue

My last trip away from home was the Singapore getaway in the middle of September, seems like a long time to me though it was only around two months ago. So when my friend suggested to go Taiping for a short trip, I didn't hesitate, after all, Taiping is just less than an hour away from Ipoh...
I started the journey early on Saturday and we had a nice stroll at the Taiping lake... due to the rain, the plants and the trees glitter and the lake is not "drought looking"…

It was after 5pm when we strolled down to the town, it was quite deserted by then. Most of the shops are closed at 5pm, except for a few eatery shops but we didn't take our dinner there. We bought some frozen pizzas from the grocery stall and micro-waved them in the guest house. (Saves some pounds and pennies!) LOL..
Let me tell you…

With full and heavy stomach, we eased digestion in Queensball Mall which is just a short distance away from Sungai Dua... we walked around the mall, browsing around and buying nothing.. seriously, nothing was bought that evening.... it was a good sign, at least for my pockets... hahahaa....
Thinking back now, it is indeed a Big surprise that we went back to the hotel empty-handed... Kudos to my girl! What a good girl she is! She didn't buy anything at all.....

I thought today is Halloween but I was mistaken, it was yesterday... During my younger days, it was not as popular as it is today, maybe those days we were not so "exposed" but nowadays, the youth of today are having fun disguising as "terror" as much as possible...
And what is Halloween actually? I went to Mr. Google to find out more and here is an extract from one of the websites....
Halloween originated as a pagan festival in parts of Northern Europe, particularly…

By the time we left 1Utama, it was almost 6pm... the best meal of the day had arrived... DINNER! My friend had made plans to take us to a special meal in Klang, one open air restaurant called Bubur Goreng (Fried Porridge Restaurant)... This is the first time I heard of this and I wonder what was in store for us...…Continue

Our next stop is One Utama shopping mall in Petaling Jaya. Know what? I have been to this place for umpteen times already and still I don't know the way till today! My sense of direction is really hopeless when it comes to recognizing roads. Thank goodness for my good friends, we managed to come and join in the Halloween atmosphere here...…Continue

After checking into our resort apartment, it was almost time for dinner.... and I was most excited and happy when I heard that we were going for Szechuan food instead of western food! Phew... that is really good news to me ...not that I don't like to take burgers and stuff but because I am a rice lover... I must have rice at least once a day or once a week if it is not too much to ask... LOL...
One of my sister's friend is working in this Szechuan restaurant called Chin's…

The very next morning we had to leave Las Vegas for San Diego .....but before we did, we went to the premium factory outlet center to do our last minute shopping.... The following night after the heavy downpour, it was a time for another excitement, this time it was not as "threatening" as the previous night but a time for a "thunderous" one... an event I was looking forward to since the day I arrived in Las Vegas!
The only SHOW I wanted to go and watch is none other than a tribute to Michael Jackson and he is none other than Michael Firestone! Upon checking into the resort, we quickly booked tickets to the MJ Live in Rio…
