I am an average American when it comes to travelling. I have been to Europe a couple of times, and to Canada and Mexico. I would love to travel more, but with a child just out of a car seat, travelling has been somewhat limited.

The children have been out of school one day - yes, one day - and I can already feel my sanity slipping away. I'll miss it.
My daughter is already using the time off to ask a few questions, like: When can she get her own computer? Why is her brother being so annoying? Why can't she have a kitten? Or a puppy? And what does Santa have to do with Jesus, and what is the significance of a Christmas tree?

Sometimes in the middle of our deployments, we are allowed a few days off. It helps troops refresh themselves mentally, physically and emotionally. It's an essential priviledge that is intended to help our people maintain their sanity so that they can maintain focus on the mission. It is an awesome treat!

Travelling of any sort is always a crap shoot for me. Aside from the logistics of 4 kidlets, (although, with everyone out of “babyhood”, I have finally become adept enough at packing that I can leave behind the kitchen sink!), the Griswold moniker is well earned…I seem to encounter “adventures” that fall outside of the typical. Moreover, MY typical usually falls within…Continue

We were supposed to be in London this week. Actually, our vacation was to end tomorrow with a flight home, an eight-day vacation, without children, spending time with Colby exploring London, Edinburgh and the countryside of England. But you all see the news, read the
papers and have all seen the pictures of a pesky little volcano in Iceland that
continues to spew ash and lava into the air.yes""> Yep, that pesky little volcano ruined my blissful…

If you are on a budget, you may think that your best best is one of the first two options, but today I want to tell you why you should consider renting a home or apartment near the Disney Resorts.

Do you remember the first time you found out you were pregnant? You probably experienced all sorts of emotions ranging from joy to fright. But then you had 40 weeks to adjust. Although some of those 40 weeks were probably laced with nausea, back pain and all other discomforts that accompany pregnancy, you were still in a peaceful environment, living a quiet life with your partner. Then the labor pains began (or in my case, the c-section was scheduled) and somehow you…Continue
