Chocolate Banana Green Smoothie {5 Ingredients}

Please, feel free to view the original post on my blog, Mama Chirps :)

I have to post this recipe, mostly for future reference, because it was awesome! Not to mention, it was paleo AND vegan, too. I decided to experiment today and ventured outside of the normal old smoothie box, and came up with a healthy Chocolate Banana Green Smoothie.

Recipe: Healthy Cocoa Fudge ('Tis True)

I stumbled across this recipe months ago. But it wasn't until a month ago that I finally made it. You see, when I come across a delicious looking recipe involving chocolate I can't help but read on. 'Tis my lot in life to be a *sigh* chocolate lover.

And this recipe is awesome. And I mean that in more than one way.

1. No sugar in it.

2. No dairy in it.

3. No wheat in it.

To Vegan or Not To Vegan

http://projectsupermom.blogspot.com/2011/02/to-vegan-or-not-to-vegan.html

To build off of my last post, featuring a friend and fellow blogger that completed a 30-day vegan cleanse, I wanted to talk more about the vegan part of the equation.

I thought it was super timely that Oprah hosted a show focused on veganism and offered a week-long vegan challenge to her staff. One of her… Continue

Vegan Pizza

At last! We found a way to make great tasting vegan pizza. Thanks to food.com for the great pizza dough recipe. You can put whatever toppings you like on this pizza. We particularly like the Daiya mozzarella-like shreds. Daiya is made in a facility that is free of dairy, lactose, casein, soy and gluten. It's delicious and quite frankly the best cheese-like substitute we've found thus…

feeling better

I am slowly feeling better. I started feeling sick Wednesday so four days is long enough for me to be sick. Not that I have any say in how long a cold stays in my system but you know what I mean. I’m done with it. I’ve pretty much laid low and stayed near the house except for the few “emergency” outings I needed to take. Meanwhile, during my resting periods I’ve been reading and looking things up on the Googles. I’ve read several of my new raw food books and I fear that I’m not quite as…

raw food detox?

So I’ve been eating healthy for over a week. I hesitate to label what I’m doing for fear of messing it up but I will call it the semi vegan vegetarian raw food diet. There, that’s a nice name, isn’t it? What I’m doing is avoiding meat of all kinds: chicken, beef, lamb, fish, etc. I’m also TRYING to avoid refined sugar and diet sugars. I try to use Stevia, turbinado, agave,…
