Obessive behavior

My paint by numbers

I have been experiencing I guess they call it writers block or I've really been trying to put more focus on my family than the blog or maybe just writers block. I was finding myself obsessed (shocker) with trying to post everyday.…

Journey to Olivia

My husband and I took a trip to Aruba a few years ago and when we came home I was pregnant.

Oh I was so happy and HUNGRY!! I would wake up at 5:30 am starving and ate all day. Of course I googled EVERYTHING and it said your appetite increases with a boy and folks if…

Full on Panic Attack

I was on my way to pick up my husbands grandma and it hit.image-23[1]  A full on panic attack. The panic was brought on by the realization that I almost lost my mother. My stomach churning, my heart racing, my throat feeling as if I swallowed a rock, and in my head  visions of unspeakable…

No two a like

I've been venturing down to the beach just about daily helping to take care of my mom and I'm required to tote along my kids because well my moms the babysitter and she's out-of-order right now.

She has enjoyed seeing the girls but also has expressed how she may not fully regain her strength to watch my youngest.

Olivia is wide ass open full speed all day unless her eyes are…

dear self

Hey girl what up!!! Do you remember yesterday when you stepped out of your car and walked onto a broom brush and the pole came and popped you in the ear? see I feel you practiced very good self control when you had the urge to kill your 8 year old from her belly laughing so hard.

Although you restrained yourself from that you didn't do so hot last night with your night…

5 Things People Ask Me When They Find Out I'm Married To A Gynecologist

I can see the pupils dilate and the wheels begin to turn when people find out that I'm married to a gynecologist. Paranoid as this may seem, I've answered enough questions and survived too many bizarre interactions to be caught with my pants down again. My husband commenced his OB-GYN residency two weeks…

My First Entry

My name is Mary but everyone has called me Katie since birth. I was once a wild party girl and I am now a military/ law enforcement wife and a stay at home mother to a beautiful daughter.

I grew up in a tiny town in southern Arizona. Moved from West Virginia at a young age and noone agreed with my country thinking.. (although now its cool to be country!)  I moved to Flagstaff after graduation and did not succeed in school. I was that small town upbeat girl in a whole new world and it…

I'm a Hypocrite

That's right folks. I'm a great big hypocrite. I have been so absorbed in my life and my worries over the last few years that I have forgotten about others. One of my posts from earlier talked about a friend who wasn't there for me when she said she would be. It hurt me, but I realized today that I have not been an emotional support to others much either.

I had a friend in college, Amy. She was a beautiful girl, but struggled with her self esteem. It hurt me to watch her in her… Continue

Today I am a freaking rock star! Today I am not only surviving my husband's deployment to Afghanistan, I am kicking some deployment a$$! Today I am mom to my 2 and 3-year-old kiddos, and I am Detective to nearly everyone else. I am also covered in buggers from a sick little one!

My husband, CJ, is a Black Hawk pilot in the National Guard, and he has just begun what will be around a 9 month deployment. That does not include all of the pre deployment crap he did before. Basically he… Continue

I'm a Fantasy Football Wife

I’m a Fantasy Football wife. Not a wife that is any man’s fantasy because she buys brats and makes nachos every Sunday afternoon,  takes the kids to the park during Monday night games or wears a team jersey and little else. No, I’m a wife who plays Fantasy Football, and let me tell you I’m no one’s fantasy once the games begin.

Thursday night the first NFL regular season game was delayed by a half hour and my first-round draft pick was playing. I actually got grumpy because a little…

Dad’s Guide to Survive Active Labor

Many new dads don’t know what to expect during the labor and delivery process, especially, if they are a first time dad.  If you have ever seen a tv show or movie that shows a woman giving birth, let me assure you that most labors don’t look anything like what you have seen on television.  A woman typically labors for many hours before she is ready to deliver her baby and it…

Our Valentine's Day... From my iPhone

Valentine’s Day is by far one of my favorite ‘holidays’ but I’m honestly not sure why.  It could be because of all the $1 crap I get our 2 little boys that excites them beyond words.  Or maybe it’s the excessive eating of chocolate all day that makes my tummy happy.  Or maybe it’s that I get to turn everything…

Love - Satisfying Work and a Good Family

Readers of a certain age will remember the movie Mahogany  starring Diana Ross and Billie Dee Williams. There was a great line in the movie where Billie Dee's character told Diana Ross' character that all her success at work meant nothing if she had no one at home with whom to share it. For me, having a loving, caring family at home to share my successes and accomplishments is more valuable than the accomplishments and successes.

I like to call myself a Proverbs Wife.…
