Let's admit something right now, ladies. Birth control should be up to us, shouldn't it? We're the ones that will have to carry a child for the next 9 months if the method fails to do it's job. So, I think that means we should be able to choose which one suits us the most, right? Right!
Now, most of my readers are… Continue

I'm sure you're familiar with the five love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, gifts, and touch. We all feel most loved when people provide us with one of these 5 things. If we can learn how to provide our spouse (and kids) with their love language, everyone is much happier.

How do you define an Independent Woman? Here are a few responses.. Continue
"An independent woman is one that does not have to factor in finances when considering marrying a man or when divorcing one. Way too many marriages are ones not out of love, but out of the need for convenience and financial need. An independent woman usually has worked for some time to be independent or has a certain set of special skills that has allowed her to obtain financial freedom.

Regardless of whether you’re a stay at home mom or a working mom you are always working! During the week you are bombarded with countless errands, lunches to pack, dinners to make, bosses to please, and children’s activities to attend. The one area of your life that can easily get neglected is your spiritual life and your relationship with God. I am a single mom and I literally am always on the go, but I realized that if I didn’t make time for God and nurture my intimate relationship with him,… Continue

Who can't wait to tell you how good you did? God designed us & part of our wiring is the need to be… Continue

There is a blog on the web that I enjoy reading called "Single Dad Laughing
". It offers a humorous, yet often times serious point of view on certain topics. While becoming a frequent reader of this blog, I was finding myself wanting to comment on the various topics. Sometimes I agree with the perspective reflected, but often times, I disagree, which in turn makes me want to offer my own point of view. The problem with simply…

Click here to read Single Dad Laughing's blog posting: Worthless Women and the Men Who Make Them
I am sorry for the world depicted in the blog... one where women are not appreciated and honored. A world where women are not seen as equal and women feel it necessary to have self hatred as a direct result of the men in their lives.
Fortunately, that… Continue

I heard a commercial, on the radio, for yet another one of those quick-fix weightloss programs. Having basically tuned it out, my brain drifting off to another topic..probably my To Do list for the day..I was instantly dialed back into the commercial, when I heard this, "finally, a diet that won't kill you!" Kill you? A diet? There…

Have you noticed the different treatment Bristol Palin receives from the media compared to her mother, Sarah Palin? Read my post on http://marinagraphy.com

Do you hate it when men look at your breasts when they first meet you, rather than your eyes or your smile? My newest blog post is just about that -- how female breasts went from being revered maternal objects of survival to sexualized and caricatured versions of femininity.

I just wrote a post on the fact that we live in a society in which we have to feel shame over the muffing top/baby pouch that laps over our jeans. Instead we should flaunt it, shout it out, and let it hang with pride because it is through that distended pouch that we provided security and nurturance for the most important darlings of our lives. Respect the POUCH. Visit my site and leave your mark so I can return the… Continue

Often, I share about my grandfather (Daddy) and the love he showed his grandchildren. He really was a good man. He was not perfect by any means but he did not waiver on things that were out of sync with doing what was right when no one was around to see. One of his favorite sayings was “fair is fair”. Those words were usually followed up by “ball or strike”. One day, I am going to write a book about his poetic sayings.
Once, I accompanied my grandfather to a meeting held at our… Continue
