Finding Time for God

Regardless of whether you’re a stay at home mom or a working mom you are always working! During the week you are bombarded with countless errands, lunches to pack, dinners to make, bosses to please, and children’s activities to attend. The one area of your life that can easily get neglected is your spiritual life and your relationship with God. I am a single mom and I literally am always on the go, but I realized that if I didn’t make time for God and nurture my intimate relationship with him,… Continue

Responding to Single Dad Laughing

There is a blog on the web that I enjoy reading called "Single Dad Laughing". It offers a humorous, yet often times serious point of view on certain topics. While becoming a frequent reader of this blog, I was finding myself wanting to comment on the various topics. Sometimes I agree with the perspective reflected, but often times, I disagree, which in turn makes me want to offer my own point of view. The problem with simply…

In Response to "Worthless Women and the Men Who Make Them" by Single Dad Laughing ~ Mom Blog ~

Click here to read Single Dad Laughing's blog posting: Worthless Women and the Men Who Make Them

My Response:

I am sorry for the world depicted in the blog... one where women are not appreciated and honored. A world where women are not seen as equal and women feel it necessary to have self hatred as a direct result of the men in their lives.

Fortunately, that… Continue

Killing Us Softly

http://projectsupermom.blogspot.com/2010/10/killing-us-softly.html

I heard a commercial, on the radio, for yet another one of those quick-fix weightloss programs. Having basically tuned it out, my brain drifting off to another topic..probably my To Do list for the day..I was instantly dialed back into the commercial, when I heard this, "finally, a diet that won't kill you!" Kill you? A diet? There…

Padded Bras and Breast Obsession

Do you hate it when men look at your breasts when they first meet you, rather than your eyes or your smile? My newest blog post is just about that -- how female breasts went from being revered maternal objects of survival to sexualized and caricatured versions of femininity.

Check it out...leave your mark, and I will follow you right back on twitter, on FB, on blogs! MomBlogger's Honor!

Respect the Baby Pouch

Hello Ladies,

I just wrote a post on the fact that we live in a society in which we have to feel shame over the muffing top/baby pouch that laps over our jeans. Instead we should flaunt it, shout it out, and let it hang with pride because it is through that distended pouch that we provided security and nurturance for the most important darlings of our lives. Respect the POUCH. Visit my site and leave your mark so I can return the…

Learning to Pick My Battles

Often, I share about my grandfather (Daddy) and the love he showed his grandchildren. He really was a good man. He was not perfect by any means but he did not waiver on things that were out of sync with doing what was right when no one was around to see. One of his favorite sayings was “fair is fair”. Those words were usually followed up by “ball or strike”. One day, I am going to write a book about his poetic sayings.

Once, I accompanied my grandfather to a meeting held at our… Continue

Losing My Love…One Year Later Continued

Well I made it through the day all in one piece. It’s been one full year since my mother past away but I’m still standing, holding down the fort. As I mentioned in my last post I didn’t know what to expect of my emotions when her one year anniversary came. But in the end the day was wonderful because I tried to focus on all the wonderful things about her and remember all the good times we had.

As I stated in my last post I wanted to revisit the trail I was running when I found…

What Kind of Business can you run from home?

When asking yourself, "What kind of business can you run from home?" you need to realize how important it is to understand marketing to women. Once you understand this, you can run any business

from home. In the past women were stay at home figures as men made the

purchasing decisions. That is not how it is any longer! More women are

working outside the home. More women are single and more women are

making the majority of…
