Not life. Not spirit. Not soul. My job. I quit my job and I have no regrets.
No job is perfect, there are always little things here or there that could change. Sometimes workers might not see the “big” picture that a company does. One particular way is not always the best way and we have to rely on management, trusting they know what is best, for the smoothness of the company operation. It takes a lot of confidence… Continue

I feel super duper worthless this week. I swear I only work to bring home a paycheck – would be nice to work because I felt needed. Like the whole company would fall apart without me. My last job was like that – even my first job at Cracker Barrel was like that. Come to think of it – all my jobs have pretty much been like that. I was treasured…

For decades in American households the most dreaded morning sound was that of an alarm clock. Sometime between 6 and 7am a beep or radio music signaled that it was time to get up and head to work. But in the early 21st century two things have begun to change. First, the alarm clock is going off a little bit later. And second, instead of putting on suits and driving to work, people are heading to the basement in their pajamas and turning on their personal computers. These are the early days…
Today I had a very surreal experience on my everyday commute to work. It is not often that this drive is cosmically metaphorical, it's not even fun, exciting, or interesting. It's typically just a boring stretch of road that leads to another boring
stretch of road, that leads me straight to my 8 hour prison cell.
Sedentary Land. Sit, type, file, email, talk on the phone. Ooops I'm
depressing myself!! Back to cosmic drive :)…
Yesterday, I had a feeling: "I wasnt doing anything", and I felt some sort of guilt. There for ; there is a reason for all the things I lived and know now that II dont have to go through the same things over and over..
Let me explain. When Lucas got sick, back in 2007, every minute of my life couldn´t stay still. Since I can remember, after I finished college I was already working at two schools and in the meantime had 3 small children and a husband who also needs an investment of… Continue

Party Plan/Direct Sales/MLM (Multi-Level Marketing). Most of us are familiar with the direct sales/party plan business model and it's certainly a viable option to make some money from home. It's a great way to jump in an own your own business without the investment and risk involved with starting your own business from the ground up.
The investment is usually under $200 and should give you most of the tools you need to get your… Continue
Well, it's official.....the little bit of unemployment insurance I was bringing in, is now done.
I will still have some mystery/secret shop money coming in.
I enjoy being home though. If something comes along that makes me happy, fine, and if not, fine.We manage.
The book is what I am working on promoting right now.
I had a bigger book store turn it down though since the name wasn't on the spine of the book.As well, they said because we showed photos of older bills, people may… Continue
“I relaunch”, as in I was out of work for a period of time and now would like, or need, to go back to work. MyWorkButterfly.com had the great pleasure of being a media sponsor for the recent iRelaunch conference held this past week at Seton Hall University. I learned much that day from the founders of iRelaunch, Carol and Vivian, and from the corporate participants: Morgan Stanley, Accenture and Goldman Sachs representatives, all of whom embrace many of you who are return-to-work moms. Carol… Continue

I’m a one-at-a-time divulger, usually. But I walked into my doctor’s office and I had a list of three things I wanted to talk about. My arthritic finger that my husband has diagnosed as Lyme’s. My thyroid medicine that was switched last month but isn’t “right”. My undiagnosed ADHD that is morphing into early Alzheimer’s. (See Friday’s pie chart.)
I wrote all three things down on a clipboard that I brought from home, with the carefully worded back story on each. I labeled and… Continue

I don't know about you, but I have come to believe there is no such thing as "extra" cash. Somehow, just when it looks like I'll actually have something left at the end of the month, a pipe will break, the roof will leak, the basement will flood, or I'll need a root canal. Extra cash? I think not.
I do, however, believe in additional cash. This is money that can be available without having to take on a second job. If you, like me,… Continue
