Going on a Date with My 5-Year-Old

When Elijah brought home the flyer for a “Me and My Gal” night at his school, I admit – at first I dismissed it as something I didn’t particularly want to do. I doubted that he even paid any attention to the note about a glow-in-the-dark themed…

FAGE Total Split Cups Review

For a few days, I had the FAGE coupons sitting in my purse. I even forgot to buy it while on a grocery shopping trip so I decided to stop and pick some up while I was on my way home. In the aisle, there were two ladies looking in the cottage cheese and yogurts area. I stood next to them trying to find the FAGE cups so I could make the trip a quick one, but I needed help because I could not find them among the countless cups of…

Apple and Date Compote with Greek Yogurt

For someone who doesn't have much of an appreciation for dates, I have to say that this recipe may have converted me! I don't know what inspired me to try this combo, but whatever it was, I am SO thankful (and my son is too!). When the compote was just about done I snuck a taste and realized that it was VERY sweet (almost too sweet for ME, if that's possible!) I personally though that it needed something tart to balance out the sweetness. Though the lemon zest is "optional" in this recipe I…

Ridiculously Easy: Apple and Yogurt Salad

This is a quick, easy, fresh and tasty side dish that you can add to almost any meal. Perhaps this is even too simplistic to blog about, but it is one of my favorite salads (and apparently a favorite with my nieces and nephews as well) so I decided that I'd get it out there.

It's Greek to Me

Finally, I have finished my myriad of experiments with Greek yogurt and can't wait to share my findings! As you have probably heard, read, or seen, Greek yogurt is popping up all over the health food scene. Ever hesitant to get behind fads, until I've had plenty of time to tinker with it to see if it's a viable swap that I could actually…

Black Friday – it’s Not Just About Fashion

Fashion, eh? It comes and goes, then comes back around again, at once fleeting and eternal. A style is in one month and then is never heard of again – until it is heard of again, of course.

The quest for fashionable clothes never ends; it’s just that what is in vogue is always changing.…
