Safety Recalls

Dillon Importing Co. has recalled Captain Cutlass Pirate Toy Guns

About 6,970 toy guns have been recalled to due violation of lead paint standards.  While no incidents or injuries have been reported, it has been discovered that the surface paints contain excessive levels of lead. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that consumers contact Dillon Importing to return the toy gun and to receive a full refund.…

How Our Friends Have Helped

Thanks to the generous donations from members of our community, Caring for Kids has been able to help a mother who is a survivor of domestic violence. She has left her soon to be ex-husband and is going to court for custody of her two children. In order to escape the violence and stress of an abusive relationship, she moved and required basic needs items for her new home. Orange County Community Organized for Responsible Development (OCCORD) is hosting a Citizenship Fair on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the North Orange County Community College District.
