Recovering from ME/CFS with ‘Reverse Therapy’
It’s been some time since I last posted, but so many positives have occurred with Julie’s condition that I thought it was time to give an update. Prior to March 2011 things were not great, with Julie’s condition being somewhat on a low plateau unable to do or take part in meaningful things before fatigue set in, you all know what it’s like.
Then things changed, thanks to a consultant who was helping Julie with meditation… Continue

Just a quick update to let you know how the removal of my Mercury Amalgam fillings is going. After the first course of treatment I have been looking forward to the second course of the treatment , but as the day dawned I have to admit the enthusiasm had somewhat been replaced by a little apprehension. Continue
I had been taking the recommended tablets to assist with detoxification for a week prior to todays treatment, the expected duration of todays procedure was one and a half hours to remove…

As previously reported on earlier blogs, my gasping for air and chest tightness are just two of my many CFS/ME symptoms and I thought I would try to investigate the cause. The following blog is rather technical in parts and has in my opinion a controversial conclusion, but nevertheless some very interesting points are raised and you may find they… Continue

Friday morning dawned, well mid morning, and I was feeling a little less self pity and determined to have a great time with our friends. They had kindly cooked a full english breakfast for all of us, it was totally yummy and a real treat from what I normally have. Our friends wanted to go down into Clovelly, a trip down memory lane, they had visited it many years earlier when they where a young…

Sorry about the delay but have not been good the last few days so here it goes.
It was always our intention to take it easy on Thursday because our friends where coming to stay with us for a couple of nights and I wanted to make sure I wasn't too tired for their arrival. The rain from the previous afternoon and night had continued into Thursday morning but was showing the first signs of clearing with the occasinal break in the cloud.
Hubby suggested that we…

After yesterday's episode of total exhaustion I decided to have a lie-in today in the hope of the spoon fairy paying me a return visit, alas she didn't, too busy elsewhere, maybe once a week is all you can expect. It was well after 11.00am when I finally came downstairs to be greeted by a beaming hubby who had already been out on a 3 hour walk to some secluded cove called " Mouthmill Cove".

Dawned a bright and sunny day, well it did according to hubby, it was still lovely when I arose from my deep slumber and got myself ready. My day was already planned out for me if I thought I would be up to it. " Nothing too strenuous today, honest. " hubby informed me. "A short drive down to Clovelly Court Gardens and Church and then down to the visitor's centre to catch the Landrover Service down to the harbour." Well…

I awoke on Monday morning feeling surprisingly refreshed. At some time during the night I had been visited by the " Spoon Fairy " who replenished my cuttlery sevice with tea, soup and dessert spoons - wonderful, but how long would it last?
" Not too much today, please I want to keep some spoons in reserve "
" No probs, " hubby replied, " We'll visit Eldern Point and Hartland Point, they've both got car parks very…

Hubby up early, I think someone forgot to tell him he's supposed to be on holiday. He brought my tablets and breakfast in bed and off he went at 7.30 am for a walk down into Clovelly to check out the route. I was awoken at 8.30am with a message and photo of Clovelly Harbour " just arrived, great views but very steep, no one about, streets clear of tourists great for taking photos " he does love to take photos bless him.
I eventually got downstairs at 11.00am to be greeted by my… Continue

We had to vacate the cottage by 10am on Saturday morning, which left us with plenty of time to have a relaxed journey back home staying off at one or two places on route. The first place we visited was the small town of Croyde with it's large sandy beach and sand dunes, very popular with young families and surfers. We spent a good hour here walking down to the sea's edge to have a closer look at the surfers…

Night out in London
As a treat for my birthday my hubby arranged for a weekend break away in London to see Sister Act at the London Palladium, followed by a meal in 'Floridita' a Cuban restuarant and dance club that plays live latin music. We continue to push the boundaries, although on the previous three occasions when we have been to the theatre in London I have been… Continue

Stress on the Immune System - A contributing factor to my Chronic Illness of CFS / ME
As most things associated with CFS / ME some of the details are very technical, but I shall endeavour to simplify the details without detriment to the final article. I therefore apologize at the start for the amount of technical jargon contained within.
A common reoccurring theme with sufferers of CFS / ME is the…

*my husbands account*
We are looking after my mother and father this weekend due to extensive modernisation work being carried out on their house. The work is getting my mother down because father keeps asking when the work will be completed ( Alzheimer sufferer ) and it's only week one of five, don't know how she will cope with another four weeks of it. I'm trying to plan some way around this problem because I can see what it's… Continue

Some weeks back I was experiencing frequent dizzy spells and on some occasions blackouts. I went to my G.P. to report this deterioration in my condition and he suggested I go visit a Neurologist. Well the day arrived this week but what a waste of time it turned out to be, let me explain.
I arrived early having taken a taxi because I didn't… Continue

It's Julies chief carer here , her hubby Pete, having read her latest contribution to the site regarding " Candida " I have realised I haven't been doing my job very effectively with relation to my juicing duties. I hadn't realised that all my juicing had been overloaded with fructose which for those of you who have read the latest blog will now know feeds the candida yeast infection.
So I thought I would educate myself in the correct protocol for juicing and pass on this information so… Continue
