It seems like I'm on a roll this week. First I was…

And replaced with an unsure mother.
Have you ever felt, by becoming a mom, you have lost all traces of the former person you used to be? Have you ever looked in the mirror at your disheveled hair, clothes stained with baby milk, and dark circles and wondered what happened to that savvy, well-manicured, vibrant woman who used to inhabit the person who now knows more about Bubble Guppies then the economic bubble?
Maybe its the fact that we spend a substantial part of our… Continue

I got my hair cut today. Under normal circumstances this would put a spring in my step and cause me to whip my hair back n forth
. For me, a new do gives me a confidence boost that some women can find in a pair of shoes or a new hand bag. I love the way it feels as it blows in the wind, like I'm on a shoot of America's Next Top Model
. Its soft and luxurious shine nearly causes me to hit the car in front of me as I admire my… Continue

It can be creamy, comforting, and even sinful (if eaten by the gallon) but I must admit, the word 'breast' never pops into my mind when thinking of ice cream.
The restaurant… Continue

We've all seen them...voluptuous breasts, curvy hips, and strategically placed camera angles that have graced many a profile pic on Facebook. You think I'm talking about some college girls trying to do their best Kim Kardashian pose or Kim herself? No. I'm talking about something much more morally corrupt then adolescent cleavage...What could it be?

As moms we have a lot of responsibilities to handle. Luckily we are naturally adept at being kick-ass multi-taskers (sorry guys, you got the "I don't need to ask for directions" gene instead). I had no idea becoming a mother would equip me to juggle my duties like a well-trained circus clown. Add breastfeeding to the mix of daily activities and I've either created a masterful circus of wonder or road-side freak show.… Continue

I have been attempting to catch my son's elusive smile on camera for about 3 weeks now. However, each time his sweet little lips curl up, as soon as I click the button they go right into a sour puss . I've stuck to my guns and now I present for your viewing pleasure the cutest damn thing I've ever seen (and no I'm not biased!)

Today is a momentous day on SO many levels. I'm having a hard time digesting the sweeping change that is taking over my home. Last week Bryson turned 5 and now my first baby is one year away from being a teenager....I think I need a bottle of wine.
Twelve years ago I gave birth
Tyler. I was a kid. I knew nothing about the hardships and the joys of motherhood. I had no idea that it would be the most challenging and… Continue

Journals are my crack
. They get me excited, tingly, and
itching with a feeling of exhilaration each time I break a new one open. I love writing the date on the top line, followed by a verbal onslaught ranging from daily reflections,… Continue

Hey everyone! It has been wayyyy too long since I have posted anything.
I've had busy 2 weeks. Between a wedding, having family in town, and the 3rd cord for my laptop dying (That could be a whole other post!) I've
been slacking on my blogging duties. So here is an update on whats been going on.
Last week I discovered that the baby making Gods didn't have it in the stars for me to get pregnant this month. I am disappointed, to say the least. I really… Continue

Just a quick update, since I'm currently on throw-up watch. Unfortunately it's not mine. Bryson has a killer cough that has been making him ill all morning. So, not sure I'm knocked up, but I'm sure eating like it. Yesterday I made… Continue

Today is the start of baby making ROUND 2. In 5 days I will ovulate again so it's time to start stocking up on my hubby's little swimmers, since they are only able to survive in the uterus for about that length of time. My hope is by using as many natural techniques as… Continue

So here is an update on my obsessive baby girl journey. According to my calculations I ovulated somewhere between January 20-22, which would mean my period would be due approximately 14 days following that date. This… Continue

Welcome to the first Mom's in Boyland blog! I started this to document my quest for conceiving a child that does not have a penis, namely a beautiful baby girl. Let me give you some background. I'm 28 years old and have been with my wonderful husband , Brian, for 5 1/2 years. Together we have two wonderful boys; Bryson who will be 4 in January, and Tyler who will be 11 in January. I had Tyler when I was 17 with my high school boyfriend, Tom. Tyler spends a lot of… Continue
