Please stop asking, I do not WANT a girl, OK?!

Not that I don’t want a girl ever, just that I am not pinning for a girl. People so easily assume that because you have two boys you MUST want a girl.…

Here is the truth: We CANNOT have it all

No really I mean it, this is a myth and sorry if I have destroyed your hopes of running a Multinational while baking pretty cupcakes, sewing bunting flags, attending every school events, looking pretty, manicured, without an inch of cellulite, glamorous, in a perfect amiable mood every-single-minute of the bloody day and a . .… Continue

Thursday Coup de Coeur – Need you now, by Lady Antebellum

Don’t tell me that when you listen to this you are not back in some sort of late eighties. Everything brings me back: the tune, video, lyrics, the HAIR… Almost a kind of Roxette revisited,…

They don't tell you this when you are expecting...

Or is it just me they didn't tell?

Having kids physically hurt! I hear you laughing. I am not talking about the burning stinging pain of giving birth, I am talking about what follows after the birth.

Jeez, since having 2 children I haven't had a pain free day:

- My feet request that I wear shoes or slippers (with hard soles) at all times when walking around the house. They are fed up of the excruciating pain caused by all these tiny toys parts scattered around… Continue

Do you love all your children the same way?

Right before we go on and you lapidate me for what I have just said, let me explain what I mean by this.

You see, since the birth of Victor I have analysed and tried to understand the feelings I have. It has been months or shall I say from the moment I got pregnant with Victor that I have felt guilty for feeling this way.

When these 2 precious lines appeared I felt the same amount of joy and excitement than the first time, only to realise days later that it wasn't the… Continue

Welcome to Preschool...

I suppose this is it. We are coming to that time when things change, when my baby is no longer a baby. When my baby is now going to have a life outside our family.

He is going to do things I won't know about.

He will have friends I won't really know.

He will say things I won't hear or do things I am not going to witness.

He will sometime be told off by someone else and praised and cuddled by someone else.

He will be hugged by a stranger… Continue

Battle of the Blood... or just zip it Mother!

My mum arrived exactly a week ago and as always the rollercoaster has had as many highs as lows in the last 7 days and 5h09 min... I love her more than anything and she truly is my best friend. I have always had that sort of amazing relationship with her. The sort of relationship most my friends envied with passion. She is my confident and the shoulder to cry on, even miles away. We have always been able to tell her everything, I mean EVERYTHING. She knew all our little secrets as well as my… Continue

Is there such thing as Post Holiday Depression?

My mum keeps telling me that my beloved Grandmother (who was an entrepreneur and workaholic) used to say all the time "Holidays are bad. You switch off from everything and you face hell when trying to get back into a routine. So, you should never go on holiday" Well she never really said "Hell" as such, that is more my interpretation of it.

Childbirth pain...

Poor Dr Walsh... Now come on, he's just said that we should just stop being sissies and get on with the pain, which, if I had to find an equivalent, I would say resembles being violently stabbed in the back again and again (that was how it felt for me)... that's all ladies! Please will you stop being so nasty wanting to eat his heart on a plate! Come on there must be some logic… Continue
