They Gassed Me

Last week I learned a valuable lesson about communication.  It was during an emergency oral surgery that experienced this epiphany.  There is nothing like being laid far back in a dental chair filled with laughing gas and feeling not quite yourself. 

I had things I had wished I could share with my kids, learned about about how important it is to understanding communication and not just language itself.  And I learned some things about my own self talk.

Be What You Want

What if I could tell you that you could be the most awesome mother you ever wanted to be and you could create the life you wanted.  You might look at me and think I was crazy and say no you can't. 

Do you remember what your mother used to tell you that you could do when you were grown up.  I know when I was little my mother and everyone else in my family would tell me I could be anything I wanted to be.  I know that I tell my children the same thing.
