Wednesdays are great for Wordless and Wordful posts, but we decided to go a different route and create our own Wednesday fun. We figured what the hell. That's how we started What The Hell Wednesday.
Who are we kidding? That's pretty much how we decide on almost everything. If you want to play along, grab our button on the sidebar, link up to us in your post and don't forget to sign… Continue

As some of you know, my husband is stuck in Florida because of the monster snowstorm. He was down there to bring one of our daughters to Walt Disney World where she is going to be doing an internship. He called me late Monday night and said he had mistakenly overdrawn his checking account with a purchase that very evening. He asked me to go down to the Citizens Bank
in the morning and deposit $25.
As soon as the kids got on the school bus I was at… Continue

Recently I received a copy of Hope Faith And Charlie
and finished it in two sittings. It was almost impossible to put down. Hope Faith And Charlie
is an uplifting story of a little baby's battle against Stage 4 Brain and Spinal cancer written by his Mother Deidre Carey. Even though I know… Continue

I don't know about you, but I can use all the help I can get when it comes to party planning. The wonderful people at MyPunchBowl.com

They even have a feature called a Date Decider to help you and your guests figure out the best date for your event. They offer eCards, Save the Date Cards and… Continue

Let me give you a little back story before I get into my silly story today. Our Mum is deathly afraid of
S-N-A-K-E-S, yes I'm spelling it. When I was little I wasn't allowed to say that word because she soooo didn't like them. Even now, my boys have to hide their rubber fake one's before she comes over. Well, I'm not a big fan of them either, but as long as they don't sneak up on me, I don't really mind them. This year we seem to have more snakes than ever! On Saturday I was surprised by 4… Continue

In case you are not aware of what the above picture is, it is a picture of your Chakra. Apparently it's an Indian thing, or as I like to call it, "An Earthy Crunchy Thing". Each color represents another part of your being. Let me give you the back story.....I went into work yesterday to grab some work I could do… Continue

If you're looking for our Wordless/Wordful Wednesday post just scroll down.
Something happened yesterday that's bothering me and I just had to get it out.
Yesterday morning J-Man had his yearly physical. His regular pediatrician was booked up so we had to see a newer doctor in the practice. I really like our regular doctor and I admit I wasn't thrilled about going to a different one but I tried to keep an open mind going in.
It started out well enough with the… Continue

Hey, it's Monday again, and you know what that means. Time for more crazy, weird, strange, sometimes gross, but almost always funny searches that bring people to our little blog.
1. my husband is a dumbass: Really? That's too bad. What does it say about you since you married him!?
2. swingers at Disneyworld: Ewwwww! This isn't the first time this search has come up. It's just gross, okay, no swingers at Disney World. Besides, aren't you all too busy "swinging" to go to the… Continue

Nice picture huh? I know you all are jealous of how rocking Elle and I are in this pic from the late 70’s early 80’s! Let me first point out that Elle is the older one probably in her teens, and I, Stacy , am the younger one probably 4 or 5 years old. When I asked mum to email me a picture of us when we were younger, my youngest son saw it and I asked him who he thought was in the picture. And he said, “I don’t know, but that’s a funny looking boy right… Continue

Well the other Friday night I actually went out after 8pm! Shocking for me, but my bff and I went to the movies. The movies, at night, not a matinee, and not a Disney movie! This is not normal for me. The last "grown up" movie I saw was "Chicago" with my mom. The last movie my husband and I went to the movies and saw was "Independance Day", I think that was in 1994, but I'm not sure. So, this was a big night for me. I did not have a pocketbook full of popcorn, candy and drinks, (not that I… Continue

Well, I called a family member yesterday to tell her about my surgery. I figured I should let her know instead of her hearing about it afterwards. The conversation went something like this
Me: I’m having some surgery on Friday
Her: What for?
Me: I’m having some work done to my lower eyelids.
Her: I know you’ve got those big bags under your eyes.
Me: Ya…they are caused by Graves Disease.
Her: Grades? Grays?
Me: No, it’s… Continue

Ever get asked that question? Sure. Have you ever been asked that question by your husband? This is a very famous saying in our family with all the men. This is their classic question after one of us falls/hurts ourselves or just does something we didn’t mean to do.
Stacy: For me, I fall, a lot. I admit it, it’s embarrassing. I’m so totally uncoordinated. I can be walking straight and just fall on the ground. And every time I will get “What’cha do that for?” Hmmm let me think…I… Continue

After Friday there’s going to be a new revised Elle. I’m having a lower eyelid revision and I have my wonderful Graves disease to thank for it. I’m kind of freaked out because I’m going to be awake for it. I don’t know how I’ll feel as that needle gets close to my eyes, Yikes! At least my insurance will pay for it. That was a big surprise. I figured they’d say no and then I wouldn’t actually have to go through with it. So it’s now or never. I didn’t think I’d be getting plastic surgery on my… Continue

J Man and Sissy are at it again. They both came running into the kitchen yelling “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy” non-stop. Each “Mommy” getting louder and whinier because they both want to be the first one to tell on the other. Somehow I manage to convince them to get along which results in them ganging up on me.
I’m sitting at the computer trying to figure out what to write when all of a sudden there’s a Monkey Webkins on my head. Those two love nothing better than to torment me… Continue

I am a big celebrity junkie. I like reading all the entertainment magazines, I watch E!, and a bunch of the other celebrity news shows. I like making fun of them, it’s so easy. But the other day I was reading a very popular entertainment magazine, and the whole magazine was about “celebrity diets”. And the “before” and “after” pictures. Okay, there were pictures of women who were pregnant, that was their before picture (because you know they couldn’t find another picture with them having an… Continue

I went to my first Kenny Chesney concert Tuesday night and had the best time. I even got my first concert t-shirt.ever. It was such a blast and I have my husband to thank for getting the tickets. They were a Mothers Day/Birthday present (and probably Anniversary/Christmas if he thinks of it). He’s not a fan of country music and it meant a lot that he got the tickets and took me to the concert and bought me the t-shirt with the big picture of… Continue

Well, here I am, alone, I have the living room all to myself. No one needs anything, nobody will be calling my name. They are all in bed. Another day over. There is nothing on t.v. to watch, and I refuse to do any cleaning after 8pm. That’s when I clock out. Although, I don’t mind doing laundry at night, that’s okay. But anyways, I bought a work out bench a few months ago, right around the time I quit smoking again for the millionth time. Actually I wasn’t smoking full-time, but I was having… Continue

Now I’ve heard everything. On CNN’s website they have a story about fish pedicures. Apparently there’s a salon in Northern Virginia that offers this to their customers. You put your feet into a little tank and the fish go into a feeding frenzy on your flaky feet. Yikes! I have to admit I have a thing about feet. I have had a manicure, but never a pedicure. No thanks. Leave my feet alone. I can’t stand it when my feet are bare and my dog, Toby, licks my toes. So the idea of little fish, even… Continue
