Times are tough for a lot of people I know... we are part of that group. I've always said the key to happiness is gratefullness. Everyday I wake up and try to face each day with optimisim.

I've had but these are the ones that come to mind:…

It was so weird looking through them. (I know I have tons more
I was a really great chick! I was so confident and smart. I wrote about wanting Gman in my life. I also wrote about Ed, a male friend I had at the time.…

I joined an online discussion recently. A mom's baby was turning 11 and she was surprised at how fast the time went by.
I responded by telling a story of the boys. By the time I hit the reply… Continue

When our boys were little tykes, we would take turns having one-on-one time with each one. On one of these one-on-ones I took our oldest (5yo at the time) to the drive-in.
You know I don't remember what the first movie was but "Toy Story" was the second movie. By the time it came on my baby boy was out. As the movie started I tried waking him up but he slept through it. I was going to leave but the movie was just too darn cute.
We purchased the video as soon as it came out and… Continue

I have been a full time stay at home mom. I have been a full time working mom. Although I felt fulfilled doing each (tired too), I also always felt judged by the women standing on that thick green grass Continue
When I was a full time stay at home mom it
felt as though there were working moms everywhere I went. They
made me feel less of a woman because I was at home all day. I must…

It's amazing how some people are unaware of the negativity they are spewing out into the world. They have no idea how it effects others around them. A bad attitude is not good for anyone. It's a super
contagious virus; dark and heavy and eats at your soul.…

I had this really good friend in high school. We even lived together for awhile. We were really close, I thought. After I became pregnant things slowly changed. My
biggest priority was having a healthy baby. I lost a lot of friends who still wanted to be kids themselves and party it up... nothing wrong with that at all. I… Continue

Taking baby steps is going pretty good. I've joined an awesome online group. I've been honest with myself when tracking calories. I've recently started to tell people of my goal to lose weight or go under the knife. I'm off to a good start.
Yesterday, while at work, I passed on 2 cupcakes, a Little Debbie snack, and Goldfish crackers. Today, my husband got 2 large Pizza Hut pizzas. I did not eat one bite. I didn't even take a peek...but damn they smelled delicious.
Not one… Continue

I lost 9 pounds in the last two weeks of December, 2009. I'm hoping to take that accomplishment and run with it in 2010.
I've had a steady weight increase since I gave birth to C. I need to put a stop to that NOW.
~ Breakfast - cereal/oatmeal.
~ No pop.
~ Walk 30 min a day.
~ Stop eating by 8pm.
~ Read over goals daily.
~ Take daily vitamin.
~ Drink at least 80oz of water a day.
I've also decided that if I DO NOT… Continue

During a holiday work party, I went up to my husband to give him a hug when a co-worker asked me, "Do you know you are the luckiest woman in this room?".
I knew what she meant but still I asked "why?". She went on to tell me how wonderful my husband is and how I should love and cherish him. (What made her think I don't love and cherish him?) As we left she made her way to him and tried to go in for.... for well, I don't know what.... but she got a half hug at best.

1 - Be grateful for EVERYTHING in your life... the good, bad, ugly... find something to be grateful for. If you focus on the good things, you don't have time to think about the crap around you.
2 - Faith...when you hit that ugly, dark, bottom of the barrel you need something to pull you out. The Bible is that for me...New Testament...great stuff.
3 - One good, long cry never hurt anyone.
4 - One good, small cocktail never hurt anyone... but never put your drink… Continue

When a smoker decides to stop smoking they remove cigarettes from their lives. When an alcoholic decides to stop drinking they remove alcohol from their lives. The first thing these addicts do is remove all the cigarettes or alcohol from their home.
When a person has an eating disease they cannot remove all food from their lives. Food cannot just be removed and avoided. At least three times a day we need to face our addiction, making sure to take just a little bit of our "drug". Can… Continue
