Moms Need Forgiveness Too ~ by Holly Schurter

It's more than just being testy after a bad day. As moms, we've all experienced days that go something like this: The morning starts off with spilled milk and sticky crumbs on the kitchen floor, progresses to tomato juice dumped on the carpet, includes a stopped-up sink and a visit to the emergency room, and finishes up with the dog meeting a skunk. Throw in a call from your husband telling you he's bringing company home for dinner--"just something casual, hon."

That's a bad day, and… Continue

7 Reasons Not To Mess With Kids :0)

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.

The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.

The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.

Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.

The little girl said, 'When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah'.

The teacher… Continue

Non-Toxic, Cost Effective Cleaning

By Annie B. Bond

Most modern synthetic cleaning products are based on age-old formulas using natural ingredients that were passed down through the generations because the chemistry was right. Going back to the original naturally derived ingredients is a way to make cleaning products that work, don’t pollute and save you money. Most are found in your kitchen cupboards. Mix and match with well-chosen and environmentally friendly green cleaning products found in health food stores, and… Continue

Are You There Yet?

by Steve and Debbie Wilson-January 22, 2009

If we get past the fears and circumstances God uses to shape our character, what's next. Real Love! That's right, a love that carries us through the best life can offer. If you want that kind of love, you must do the following:

Live Beyond Yourself...You must move from your world to a struggling world to a spiritual world. The incredible part of this journey is that once God opens your heart and moves you beyond your world and your… Continue

Living Miracle

When I was very young I was diagnosed with endometriosis after about a year of tests to determine why a person of 15 was in such pain. Upon diagnosis the doctor informed me and my mother that if my life plans included having children then I should be considering soon because my chance diminished with every passing year. At 16 I was given 5-7 yrs to have a successful pregnancy and put on birth control pills. They were suppose to regulate my hormones and keep the growth somewhat under control.… Continue

Quilt Of Holes

Someone new came into my life recently and she sent me this beautiful story/poetry that I just wanted to share with everyone else.

As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.

Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.

But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I… Continue

SHARING TIME

Todays blog isn't something profound but it is definately something that could be of interest to anyone. I thought I would take a moment, again, to share with others these websites and my opinions on them. Let me know what you think?

====================================================================================

There are sites out there that do something similar to this already, however, I like how clean, to the point, easy to follow this site is. It offers a little bit of… Continue

ORGANIZED DISASTER

I am not an organized person, however I am getting better and learning how to make better use of our cozy space. I always seemed to find excuses to why I was so disorganized ~ no money, lack of space, no help from family members, not wanting to become a nag, procrastination and I'm sure a whole lot more reasons were fit in there. Some were a reality yet others were plain excuses. The sad part is, I would almost always know where something was that when needed but I never could explain it to… Continue

PICKING UP THE PIECES

Last year I fell apart. I have been with my wonderful husband for 15yrs, including dating time. Unfortunately for a long time I didn't believe my husband to be as wonderful. We had difficulties and I had feelings that were harder to express and fix than I know now they should have been. My husband is suppose to be my best friend but I didn't feel like that. And it hurt! It hurt me to know I didn't feel it and later it hurt him. In the end I found emotional comfort somewhere else and didn't like… Continue
