When shopping online you should either be shopping through a cash back site or through your frequent flyer miles provider site. No need spending more than you have to right?
So what happens when you use a cash back site is: you go to the cash back site and click on the store you want to shop at (it usually tells you the % back you get prior) then you shop like normal when you check out you will pay full price. However, within a couple of days you will get a email letting you know… Continue

Have you ever held or attended a home show party? You know, where either makeup, jewelry, handbags ect were sold? Those parties can be a lot of fun and rewarding for the hostess! However in some cases it can be a burden with clearing out your schedule, cleaning the house, getting snacks to serve...the whole nine yards.
I was trying to think out of the box for a solution to where one could host a party, get rewarded, but not really have to do a lot of work. Ah ha! How about using your… Continue

I am a firm supporter of Mompreneurs! When shopping online for things, I always try to find a mom who has what I'm looking for whether it be Ebay, Etsy, or their own personal website. I want to do my part because I feel as mommies we should stick together and help each other make it work for our individual families. In essence, we are a union.
I'm sooo jealous of you Mompreneurs. I want to be like y'all!
For New Years I didn't make a resolution,… Continue

If you have a product to sell that you would like more publicity on, please contact me. I'd love to do a review and a giveaway for your product. As you may already know, word of mouth advertising is often the cheapest and most effective way to market your product.
My blog is http://www.copperbrickroad.com
. Please feel free to look around at my content and other reviews I have done. My readers are mommies who are looking to be frugal with… Continue

Oh yes...it's that time again....taxes! For some of us, it's something we look forward to. Correction, it's the check we look forward to. Others totally dread it. You have the opportunity to ask one question and discuss it with a real Turbo Tax professional for up to 20 minutes. This… Continue

I know we've all seen the "free" credit report advertisements. Usually you get it free for a month, and if you don't cancel, you find a charge of $14.95 on your credit card. I just came across this neat website that offers you a chance to see your credit score for free without even having to post a credit card or debit card! It's called Credit Karma.… Continue

I recently just had the chance to review My First Percussion Instruments made by Little First Act Discovery (age appropriate for 6 months and up). Having a musical background, I can certainly appreciate any toy to further a child’s discovery of music. This toy also furthers the development of coordination which is also important to baby’s development.… Continue

As a part of this blog, I would like to start incorporating product reviews. Being frugal with money doesn't necessarily mean making everything by hand and scraping by. It means being smart with your money. If a family needs to come out some money for an excellent product that serves to be useful and doesn't need to be replaced often, that's ok. I would like to pass along those smart choices to my blog followers. Let me help you. If you have a product that you… Continue

So I'm at home sick today with this blasted cold that's lasted almost a month. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know I know. I'm going to the Dr. this afternoon. I think that's typical for mommies though. We let ourselves get so run down until we can't go anymore, THEN we do something about it. My husband was getting after me to call the dr. while I was dressing our son for school, but I was too concerned in making sure the leftover sticker magnets I brought home from work… Continue

Have you gotten your Christmas shopping done yet? I read a report this morning that said 41% of people haven't even started. So...I searched over Walmart.com today to find some cheap last minute gifts for you. Clothing and accessories I think are a biggie so that is what I have posted for you. For a majority of these gifts you can do either free ship to store or pay .97 each for shipping.…

I'm sure you've come across something you just had to have either online or in the store. Usually, you find it on sale and you're having an interior conflict with yourself on whether to buy it or not. This conflict might include, "Do I really need it?" or "I know it's on sale, but is it at the best price". The first question is really going to be a judgment call on your part. This could be a difficult task. The most important thing you need to question is, "Do I… Continue
