Mom Organization Skills 101

How Do I Choose the Best Professional Cleaning Service

Keeping your home clean can be an exhausting task, especially if you have to squeeze it in between the chaos and work and keeping your family in line. And if your life feels like it’s nothing but cleaning and tedious chores, perhaps it’s…

What if I could tell you that you could be the most awesome mother you ever wanted to be and you could create the life you wanted.  You might look at me and think I was crazy and say no you can't.

Do you remember what your mother used to tell you that you could do when you were grown up.  I know when I was little my mother and everyone else in my family would tell me I could be anything I wanted to be.  I know that I tell my children the same thing.

So if we can be anything we want to be when we grow up, why do we get stuck and find ourselves doing things we do not want to be doing.  I think we as we start to grow up we start to believe the limiting thoughts of those around us.  We allow them to tell us what we can have, what we can do, and what we can be.  We start to believe these things ourselves.  They start become part of us and what we shape our lives with.

It creates thoughts that cause us to believe that we will never be able to have what want, we will never be able to do what we want, and we will never be able to be who we want.  These limiting beliefs become so in grained into us that they become the self talk that we tell ourselves each day. They become the things that we start to tell our kids about the world.  Statements like "Money does not grow on trees"  or "I could never do that we just don't have the ..."   These kinds of beliefs can hold us back.

So the next time you catch yourself saying or thinking one of these thoughts.  Stop take the time to hold back and change that thought into something more positive.  I am not saying that you have to get all woo woo about.  But the more we change how we speak to ourselves and start to believe we can do the things we want, the more we find ourselves making the decisions that lead us to the things we really want in life.

It is approaching things from a different mindset.  It is one from Be Do Have.  See if you want to be say a work from home mom that makes $5,000 month.  You need to think like a mom that makes $5,000 a month and do the things she does to have what you want. It really is about shifting your mindset and not only changing how you talk to yourself, but knowing that you can do what it takes to create what you want.

If you have not heard it in awhile or if you have stopped believing listen when I tell you, "You can be anything you want to be."  And all you have to do is what those that are what you want to be do to get to have what you want.

As always to your freedom!

L Young, I totally agree.  I do not believe that school is anything more than a place to create mediocre employees at best.  I want my children to have the ability to be what they want and to know how to do the things they need to so they can have what they want.  Thank you for your comment.  =D

Lovely post. I am often told children need to attend school so they can develop the discipline to get up every morining and trail themselves off to a place they do not want to be - thus preparing them for work as an adult. And I always reply - I home educate in the hopes that may be able do something they really want to be when they grow up. There future is not yet set - I hope to make a better one for them.
