How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

Italian Beef Sandwiches From The Crock Pot

I’d like to share this delicious recipe for Italian Beef Sandwiches from the crock pot. I’ve made this twice now and it is just so easy and so good! It is very similar to Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches.

(pictures will be added soon!)

1 5LB. chuck roast

3 cups beef broth

2 (.7 ounce size) packages of Italian salad dressing mix

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon basil

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 bay leaf

1. Bring to a boil in a small saucepan the following ingredients: beef broth, Italian salad dressing mix, pepper, oregano, basil, parsley, garlic powder and bay leaf.

2. Put roast in crock pot and pour the mixture over the top.

3. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Shred roast with forks and place back into crock pot for another 30 minutes.

4. Serve on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese (or your own favorite), and your favorite toppings such as sauteed onions, mushrooms, green peppers, mayo, horseradish, and pepperoncini.

Easy and oh-so-good!

Jennifer, thank you so much for this recipe!  My husband is from Chicago and he says that Portland, OR just doesn't have the same tasty Italian Beef that he can find in his home town.  I'm going to give this a try!
