Symptoms to Take Notice of in Children

The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

Mother of the Bride Guide

The day you’ve dreamed of for years has finally arrived! Your little girl is all grown up and has chosen a partner to start her life with, and you are officially a MoB -- Mother of the Bride! While congratulatory remarks are appropriate at this juncture, so are a few…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

Can you partner with your doctor? (Get your minds out of the gutter gals)

So, I just wrote a book, Little Patient Big Doctor: One Mother's Journey.  I open the book with a letter to doctors to partner with their patients in their care.  Look, we all do it. . . we seek out "alternative remedies".  Wouldn't it be nice if our doctors would actually listen to us and work with us as we tried out all this other stuff?  Here's the question though, do you think our doctors can actually be our partner?  Do you think your doctor has the communication ability and knowledge to be your partner? Can't wait to hear from you.

Dear Sher,

Thanks so much for your thoughts.  I would be so curious to know if my book makes any sense to someone who is from outside of United States. I think the story I share crosses cultures but I really am not sure.  I know readers in Canada relate to it- but isn't Canada sort of like US?  Now Holland, that's something else.  If you can let me know what you think, I'd totally appreciate it.  The book is available on line and on Amazon International- so I'm assuming you can get it in Holland.  If you can't, please let me know and I'll try to arrange something with my publisher for you.

Thanks,

Haleh

I actually didn't had any pleasant doctor visit experiences with my daughter. I feel that I get more info from the internet than from my doctor. I'm planning to look for another doctor for my family and me. Don't know if your book is available here in Holland were I live, but I can always order it on the internet:)
