Yes, we waited until she was 15 months.  In retrospect I should of had them done when she was younger and not pulling on her ears.

Yes, I think it's better to do it when they're young and wont remember the pain than to have to do it later when they will be totally aware of it. idk, that's just me.

I did because I finally had a girl and everyone called her a boy.  Even when dressed in pink, with a headband.  I also felt that it would be easier for me to clean and care for them while she was a baby, 6mo-12mo.  She is now 8 and still has her holes open and is only now learning to care for her ears on her own.
