12 things I've Learned in my first 12 months as a mom

I'm a first time mom. I had Addison on March 17, 2009, and as the 1 year mark approaches there is only one question I have for myself: "Where did the year go?" I've learned so many things about myself and my husband. Every day brought something new and exciting along with stress and worries. So here are 12 things I’ve learned in the first 12 months as a new mom.

12.) NOBODY takes care of my baby like I do

11.) I wish I could take back all those wishes that I made about her crawling, walking, and talking. She grew too fast.

10.) Children will do things on their own time.

09.) If your child is sick, listen to your intuition, not everyone else

08.) Organic diapers prevented diaper rash

07.) I read about "Finding your parenting style," but realized that that my parenting style is just like my mom's

06.) After months of having her sleep in our bed, and as heartbreaking as it was, it's ok to let them cry themselves to sleep

05.) Read, read, read to your child

04.) Break habits early.(It's ok to say no.)

03.) Everyone says how much she looks like her dad, but she has my smile and that's her best feature!

02.) I will never get this time back, so i cherish it to the fullest

01.) God gave me a gift. I'm blessed more than I have ever been!
