What To Post About On Your Mom Blog About Your Family’s RV Trip

If you run a mom blog, you should know full well that a family RV trip is far too big of an opportunity to pass up to write about.

In fact, you can probably get multiple posts out of a single RV trip, even if it’s only a quick…

The Importance of Dinner Together

Many mothers believe that the single most important activity you can do with your children is to read to them at night, help them with schoolwork to make sure they get good grades, or make sure they are always nearby.  …

We all know the basic benefits essential oils can offer, but there are benefits that go unnoticed, especially when they benefit an entire family. Check out these benefits you never knew could provide for the whole family.

1. Water

If you or your children hate the taste of water, adding a drop or two of a citrusy essential oil, like lemon or lime, gives water a hint of flavor you’ll enjoy drinking. Citrus oils also provide a burst of energy, so adding some to your morning drink can give you a much-needed boost. Essential oils have been helpful in weight loss and appetite suppression as well, making it easier to curb sugar cravings. If everyone in the family started their mornings like this, there would be a lot less stress in the morning rush.

2. Bedtime

Essential oils can boost and promote a good night's sleep, and not just for adults but for everyone, including infants! When you diffuse certain oils, like lavender, in your bedroom, it helps the brain relax and switch off. This can be useful to adults and children alike, helping with sleeplessness and anxious feelings. A good night's sleep will also give you more energy during the day.

3. Purifies and Cleanses

You can even use essential oils as a replacement for all-purpose cleaners in any part of your home. Whether you're cleaning the toilet, the kitchen floor, or the dinner table, essential oils purify many areas of a home. They are highly concentrated in cleansing properties as well. Best of all, even though essential oils can be used as a natural replacement of cleaning products, they don't contain the harmful chemicals found in household cleaners, and they smell amazing.

4. Skin Conditions

Many essential oils have soothing properties, making them great in helping to aid skin irritations. Not only can they help with reducing blemishes, but they can also help with skin imperfections or restore the natural pH balance of your skin, helping you and your family look healthier. Before applying to the skin, you’ll want to dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil. Applying the pure oil straight to the skin may cause reactions, particularly with children since they have tender skin.

5. Mood Booster

Nobody likes being in a bad mood, and people especially don’t like being around someone in a bad mood. When it comes to family members, one person in a bad mood, particularly if it’s mother, can change the mood of the entire family. Essential oils can help boost the mood, helping your emotions by calming the nerves and silencing the mind. Whether you’re pregnant, stressed, or anxious, essential oils have been proven to reduce negative emotions like anger, anxious feelings, and sad feelings. This will help the whole family by creating a more joyful vibe in the home.

If you’re looking for ways to help your family de-stress, get along and just be happier, try essential oils. There are perks from which the whole family can benefit.
