6 Paleo Recipes Even Your Kids Will Love

You love your kids and you want the best for them. But somehow when it comes to food, they just don't trust anything new. That's why we've compiled this list of 6 awesome paleo recipes that even your munchkins will love!

  1. Paleo Popsicles

Simply pick a few of your favorite fruits, toss in some honey or maple syrup, and you're good to go. All you have to do is juice or puree the fruits, mix in the sweetener, and maybe add a little coconut milk for a full flavor. Then freeze them and enjoy!

  1. Fruit Leathers

Depending on your ingredients, you may need to cook your fruit down before you add it to the processor. Mix fruits together or add other flavors (such as mint), and honey for amazing results. Once everything is pureed and mixed together, pour it into a rimmed baking sheet. Typically, you'll want to aim for 1/8'' thickness.

Cook at a low heat for 5 - 7 hours, checking it every 30 minutes after the 5th hour to see if it's ready. You'll know it's ready when it's barely sticky and there are no wet spots.

  1. Paleo Ranch Chicken Tenders

For the ranch seasoning, combine 3 tbsp real salt, 2 tsp dill, 2 1/2 tbsp parsley, 2 1/2 tbsp onion powder, and 3 tbs garlic powder. That'll make about 3/4 of a cup - more than enough for this recipe! Mix 3 1/2 tbsp of ranch seasoning with 1/2 tsp paprika, 4 tbs potato flour, and 4 tsp of arrowroot flour. This is your coating. For the chicken itself, marinate 2 lbs of chicken tenders in the juice of 1 lemon, 1 tbsp of ranch seasoning, and salt to taste. Prepare the tenders as you usually would.

  1. Strawberry Avocado Semifreddo

This delightful, decadent dessert will send any kiddo into a giddy fit. The directions are a bit long, but it's totally worth it! You'll need coconut milk or cream, 1 large avocado, 1/3 c of maple syrup, 2 tsp basil, 2 tsp lemon juice, 2/3 c strawberries, and 2 1/2 tbs pistachios.

  1. Faux Cupcake Dinner

While these sort of dishes originally gained popularity as kid-friendly pranks, meatloaf cupcakes with sweet potato frosting have quickly become a kid favorite.

Make your favorite paleo meatloaf recipe and bake it in a cupcake pan. Make mashed sweet potatoes (to get them extra creamy, use your food processor after you boil or bake them), and add them on top once the meatloaf is done baking.

  1. chocolate Avocado pudding Pops

Use a food processor to mix together cocoa oil, cocoa powder, and avocado. Add just a hint of either honey or maple syrup and use popsicle molds to shape them. Freeze them until they keep their shape and serve them up. Your kids will love them!
