Tips For Getting Girls Into Sports

Would it surprise you to know that girls are twice as likely to drop out of sporting activities through their teenage years than boys? Or to realize that most young girls start engaging in organized sports up to two whole years later than boys? …

How To Help A Friend Who Is an Addict

OUR DAILY PINS

I've been here at MBC for a few days and have not done anything but greet and comment. Everyone is so nice and interesting! Granted, I have been home all summer with not much conversation other than with my 8 and 12 year old so my expectations may not be very high at the moment! Ha! Anyway, I need to get to work building my page up so here's my first post. Let's talk about.. Sarah Palin. No, she's boring. Besides I am afraid if I think about her too much I will cause her election by way of the Law of Attraction. THINK OBAMA. THINK OBAMA. Hmmm. How about the new fall TV line up? Except I don't know what is on it or when the shows actually begin. Is SCRUBS still on? I used to love that show. I have pretty much traded TV away for blogging and am really out of the television show loop. How about you?

Blogging is so addictive. I know I am not the only one who thinks so. But am I the only one who has given up her favorite shows in favor of Web logs? I didn't really watch a lot to begin with, but now I am down to the Ellen Show and American Idol when it's on. I also love Gene Simmons Family Jewels and Flippin' Out but never know when they are on.

I can't really blame it all on Blogging I suppose. I quit watching Gray's Anatomy two years ago. Homework with the kids interfered a bit. Other times the kids are watching the TV and I don't feel like bothering them. Or do I use it as an excuse to blog?!

I was a teenager when MTV came along and music videos took some of radio's thunder. Now at the end of my 30's I wonder if I am witnessing another cultural phenomenon... a massive foregoing of television viewing in exchange for Mommy Blogging!

What do you think? Am I onto something?
