It is never easy to make the decision whether to medicate your child or not. Now there are 2 new parents' guides put out by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association that may help.

The ADHD Parents Medication Guide and The Use of Medication in Treating Childhood and Adolescent Depression: Information for Patients and Families were developed by mental health professionals and parent advocacy groups without drug company funding.
