A Letter of Thanks.

Dear body, dear friend, dear vessel of life, love and being. It was not always that I could look on you with such awe and gratitude. You once were just a body, not loved, not hated, just occupied. I forgive you your shortcomings, your surrender to gravity, your remarkable lack of elasticity and the fact that you leak. I forgive you for failing me at times, but I applaud you and thank you for being strong when it has mattered most.

My beloved, I thank you.
