Prepare Your Kids for the Upcoming Election

So, are you veering in the direction of donkey or elephant this year? Okay, you don’t have to tell us, but you do need to get you kids involved in the upcoming presidential election! Check out the Web site below, courtesy of Take Your Kids to Vote, for ideas on how to teach them about our country’s political process, including wearing campaign buttons, watching televised debates and handing out flyers (if you plan on canvassing your nabe). This is your opportunity to make politics interesting and to answer any questions your tykes have about the road to the White House. You can even turn dinner into a roundtable discussion that involves input from multiple generations; simply invite the grandparents over and have them describe their first voting experience to your brood. By November 4, your petite party enthusiasts will be chomping at the bit to see who wins!
