I can’t believe that Easter is right around the corner.  I am always looking for fun things to make with my son and while at the grocery store last weekend I saw all the marshmallow peeps!  You know the cute little marshmallow candies in the shape of little chicks covered in colorful sugar.  Well now they make them covered in chocolate!  Since we love marshmallow peeps and I have tons of chocolate chips at home I thought my son and I could make our own chocolate covered marshmallow peeps!

How to make Chocolate dipped Marshmallow Peeps!

When we got home I melted approximately half a bag of semi sweet chocolate chips in the microwave while my son separated the marshmallow peeps.  If you have never melted chocolate chips in the microwave before it is really easy, but you have to be careful not to allow the chocolate to burn.

Once the chocolate chips were melted I covered just the bottoms of the peeps in chocolate.  For a little extra fun and to make these candies even more adorable my son dipped each chocolate marshmallow peep in sprinkles!  Once covered in sprinkles we set them on parchment paper to dry.

After they dried for approximately one hour they were ready to eat!  These little peeps were super easy to make and oh so cute!
