How are you saving money and cutting costs?

Very happy to be posting here after following on Twitter for quite some time!

I'm looking for comments and input from other Mom's on how you are saving money and cutting costs in the household budgets.

I'd love to exchange links with other Mom Bloggers out there too!

It's so critical right now to cut costs. I've been meal planning and bargain shopping at the supermarket. I'm finding that we're eating a lot of Mexican-style food because it's inexpensive, filling, and can be quite nutitious when adding lots of fresh tomatoes and lettuce. I'm seriously trying to cut down on my visits to Starbucks...it's my weakness, but at over $4 a cup, that adds up (5 days a week X 52 weeks = ~$1,100/year). I also make only purposeful trips to the store to avoid impulse purchases and the "Mommy, can I have...?" purchases. Planning my errands also helps to cut down on gas costs. It's all a conscious challenge, but one that I'm finding to be quite effective on my checkbook!
