It's a beautiful Sunday here in Northern California and we're preparing to go to church. I have three ladies who want to visit my church for the first time and I get to be their ride. In Sunday School I'll be interpreting for the deaf and then in the main church hour as well. Tonight I get to watch as two of my deaf friends receive their certificate of completion in our discipleship program. I have had the honor of teaching them for 6 weeks and have seen them grow immensely!!

Sometimes when you disciple someone you don't see the fruit of your labor for quite a while, but with these two ladies, I was seeing it after the first class! I've even asked one of them to be a writer at my women's devotional site, Apples of Gold. Her name is Charlene. She's a wonderful lady and one of my dearest and closest friends now. Come by her blog and go back about a month or so and read through her entries. You'll see her growth right before your very eyes. It's such a blessing to watch! Just like watching the daily blooming of a rose!

Have you been able to help someone learn God's Word?
Has someone else been a good friend and disciple you?
