Well, it happened. Yesterday was the big day.
I turned 40.
WHOO HOO!

I am so relieved it's over. WHEW! I love everyone's birthday but my own.

I woke up today completely exhausted. Last night was an insomniac night. Couldn't fall asleep until 4:00 am. Was it because I was freaking out that I was 40! NAH...just one of those nights.

Please - I know - I am dying today. Thankfully Nana came to the rescue and took B for the day and princess is fast asleep.

There's a few feelings to turning 40.

I feel liberated.

I feel happy.

I feel content in my skin(dreaming 30 pds less of skin).

I am more confident.

I am in more control.

A lot of "A HA" moments

A lot of "UGHH that hurts" LOL!

Had dinner with kids and family last night. It was great. I loved every minute of my dinner celebration. It was a typical HOT humid evening.

DH and I went away to the Hamptons this weekend to celebrate with friends. One of DH's friends is still single and summers out there. It was his birthday party Saturday night. DH and I treated the party as a dual celebration(secretly). Nana took the kiddies for the night. DH came back one day earlier to be with the kids and I stayed behind with my girlfriend to do some much needed R&R.

DH and I had so much fun. One drink too many and it took 2 days to recover. I think I am still on the mend.

This weekend is the big "SURPRISE" (don't they know me...I am tough to surprise) party. My sister is kind enough to open her home and be the gracious host she always is. They are throwing me a party. The surprise is who will attend. It's a family and very close friends kind of party and it I know it will be fun.

On the mompreneur front - there is yet another birthday site launch today. Another charity driven birthday site. It's nice.

Of course I love http://www.mykidsregistry.com/ and I think I would even if I wasn't it's founder. I think it is great and we have some really great features as well as charities. Everything is free(of course with the exception of a gift purchase).

As I said I am still on the mend...it's been a big brain fog for the past few days.

OH NO...MS. O' Hara calls...bye bye quiet time.
