For 2018, Make Finding the Right Activities for Your Kids Your New Year’s Resolution

New year, new you, new activities for your kids.  Is this is the year that Sam wants to learn to play the violin? Or Suzie wants to take up dancing? Or you need to find John a new lacrosse camp? It can be tough navigating all the options for classes, programs and camps.  In 2018, let other moms…

Okay, so we had our last PTO planning meeting before the first day of school and I think we got the year in order. We met at a local mexican restaurant which was great because I don't think there's any better way of getting to modivated and productive than doing it over food. I'm always hungry! So anyway, I still don't really know what the role of the PTO Vice president is supposed to be. All I really do is throw out a few ideas and opinion and take notes. I can already see that this year is gonna be hectic.

I didn't plan on taking on a active role on the executive board, but I did. Of course I'm suppose to say it's for the betterment of the school, blah, blah, blah. But truthfully it gives ME something to friggin' do. I spent so much time at the school last year and honestly I kinda got SUCKERED into the position, but it's cool. My bigger plan is working towards "suckering" as many people to join as possible so that I have plenty of people to pass off jobs to. Is that a bad thing? LOL! It really will work more smoothly with more parents active and involved. Having to call on the same people over and over again burns folks out and makes the stop answering their phones and deleting your messages.

So my goal for this year is PARENT PARTICIPATION! I already have a plan to start with those eager first time Pre-K and Kindergarten parents.

Hope this year turns out as great as we are all expecting.
