A Little More You Means More for Your Family

My best friend and her three children were visiting us for a week and between us we have five children under the age of six. It was hectic, messy, and crazy with one or more of them often crying, whining, or arguing. Tears fell and temper tantrums erupted. But in the midst of the chaos we had lots of laughter, giggles, cuddles, smiles, and love. Being the eldest of six, I loved it. And I didn't want it to end.

 

One day Stephanie and I were talking about what she needs. As a mother of three, she is overwhelmed, especially with the emotional rollercoaster of the last month. She is tired - plain and simple. She needs rest. She needs peace and she needs to be restored. As we talked I told her, she “needs to be less selfless and a little more selfish”. She is drained and has nothing left to give her babies.
