If you have a kid in any kind of organized sport, then you've most likely witnessed some pretty awful sportsmanship at one time or another.  It's bad enough when it's another kid displaying the rotten behavior, but when it's an adult?  Well, that's just the lowest of the low.  And this past weekend I had the misfortune of observing THE most jack asinine parent I've ever seen on the sidelines of a soccer game.

It was the second half of my daughter's travel soccer game when the so-called volcano erupted.  Our girls were holding their own against the other team with an equal amount of physical contact taking place on both sides.  Cause even though they're just nine years old, they've learned to play tough and really fight for the ball.  As the star player from the other team was headed toward our goal for a shot, one of our defensive players rushed over to block it, resulting in an accidental collision of both girls that sent them to the ground.

The opposing player immediately turned on the waterworks, while our player stood right back up, ready to play again.  (Like I said, our girls are pretty tough!)  It was then that the crying girl's lunatic dad (who, by the way, had been screaming throughout the entire game) started shouting "NO!!!!!!!!!" at the top of his lungs over and over again while he jumped up and down on the sidelines.  He then proceeded to run practically onto the field to berate both the referee and our player.  He was so hysterical that everyone just sat there in shock.  An actual pit formed in my stomach as I watched this idiot completely lose his shit over a third grade soccer game.

The parents from the opposing team tried to calm him down by shouting such brilliant comments as, "Don't worry about it -- we're gonna win anyway!!"  I truly couldn't believe all the disgusting behavior I was witnessing.  With that kind of thinking, how were these jackasses allowed to procreate anything in this world, let alone children??!!

After the game, I decided to use the whole dreadful experience as a lesson for my daughter in how to NEVER behave.  Luckily, she was smart enough to realize just how stupid the guy had made himself look.  And it turns out that his daughter had been talking smack throughout the entire game to our players, proving once again that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.  When are parents EVER going to realize that kids are like parrots, mimicking what they see and hear?????
