I was driving down the road near my house when I noticed a sign at a local church. The words touched me so much that I pulled out a pen and paper and quickly scribbled them down. The sign was simplistic, not one
of those flashy billboard type things and the message was plain as well.

The sign read: You get appreciation by giving it away.

These simple words spoke to my heart so much that I had to write them down while driving. At one time or another, we all feel under appreciated at home, at work, and in our marriage. We tend to focus on
what we lack. Instead, we must turn that attitude around and focus on
doing good for others, recognizing their achievements and their
selflessness. I guarantee when you place others before you, not only
will God bless you, so will your family, friends, and co-workers.

"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12
