Any form of creativity helps kids with autism express themselves and discover new forms of communication. Creating art helps bridge the complicated gaps between “normal” and “different.”

A close friend and mom to an autistic son has recently started series of creative workshops for autistic children to explore possibilities creativity offers and also to inspire other parents (not just parents of autistic children).

Her first workshop was focused on working with light and creating lighting objects. This is creative medium she and her son have enjoyed together for few years already.

I interviewed her about the experience and would like to share with other parents-see the article here.
