Once my belly was sewn up, I finally got to hold my little man. He was perfect – absolutely, positively perfect.

They wheeled me, the baby and Ricky back upstairs. Ok, in reality Ricky walked. But you get the idea.

And then…well, we were parents. The first three nights of parenthood were spent in the hospital. Unfortunately, my darling hubby had not slept for about two days prior to my c-section. Which basically meant that unless little RIcky was screaming his lungs out in the middle of the night, he didn’t wake up. Aka: middle of the night feedings and diaper changes were totally on moi.
