Baby’s First Time Getting Sick: Nervewracking All The Way Around

On Thursday, I was walking back to my office from lunch and I glanced at my phone to see that there were several missed calls and texts from my hubby:

“Call me. The baby has a fever.”

Yes – we call him the baby via text. Anyway, I called Ricky and then his mom, where RJ was for the day – and she sounded nervous. He had suddenly come down with afever. So of course, I packed up my stuff and flew to my car.

RJ never gets sick. He had a touch of the flu over the winter and has maybe had two mild colds since he was born. Overall, he bounces back within 24 hours and everything is fine.
