Baby Wants Mama – I’m Not Complaining

My baby is going through this phase where all he wants is mama. He has a hard time if I leave the room – let alone if I leave him with a babysitter to play while I work. He even has a hard time going to sleep at night because he just wants me to hold him a little bit longer. It’s equal parts frustrating and adorable. Well, maybe about 75 percent adorable. Just saying.

Now I know that I should be trying to wean him from this. But there’s this little piece of me that is kind of thrilled by the fact that he’s excited to play with me. That hewants to spend time with me. That he’s showing how much he loves his mama. Is that weird? Probably. But I also think it’s kind of natural. It most likely comes from spending months upon months of giving this little being every piece of energy, every ounce of love that I have in my being.
