Jay blew into our lives like a whirl wind. He was my cousin’s fiancé’s cousin (kinda confusing, I know) and we met because my cousin lived in the apartment upstairs from me.



We started talking slowly – my car got stuck in the snow a few times and he would come down and get me out.

Then we started actually hanging out, and the first time he came over, we talked nonstop for 4 hours! It was great. I was actually happy when I was with him, and I felt so light
and carefree (corny, yes, I know, but it is true).



Violet loved Jay right away. She loving nicknamed him “Jay-Jay” and he would come down and play tea parties and dress up with her for hours at a time. We have a picture of the two of them in matching tutu’s, and I
knew in that moment that he must be a wonderful guy to let my 2 year
old daughter dress him in a tutu and fairy crown.....
