This week I'm sharing a theme featuring dragons. The books below can engage young readers to discover the fantastic worlds that dragon live in. As always, happy reading!

Dragons are amazing in stories for kids. The artwork alone will make anyone want to pick up the book to see the adventure that awaits inside. Bold characters whose bravery leaps beyond belief are what captures readers.

Dragon themed books are a great way to get boys reading. The astounding adventures will amaze and engage even the kid who refuses to pick up a book for fear it would be a waste of time or that it wouldn’t compare to a video game.

If you want to have even more fun with themed books, you can pick a cool craft to do either before or after you’ve read the story. Don’t forget you can also get other avid readers involved and start your own book club. I’ve included some links for craft ideas for books with a dragon theme.

Our Peaceful Planet has a cool dragon eye project anyone can do.

Sturdy For Common Things has a very cool dragon craft that’s easy and inexpensive.
