Symptoms to Take Notice of in Children

The NHS has been facing ever-increasing pressures in recent years, with slashed budgets, staff shortages and lack of resources taking its toll on the quality of care. One of the many ways we commonly see the impact of these pressures is in waiting times for GP…

Mother of the Bride Guide

The day you’ve dreamed of for years has finally arrived! Your little girl is all grown up and has chosen a partner to start her life with, and you are officially a MoB -- Mother of the Bride! While congratulatory remarks are appropriate at this juncture, so are a few…

How to Through A Larger Than Life Small Wedding on a Budget

This one is as simple as crowdfunding your honeymoon. It might sound strange at first, but do you really need another blender or set of dinner plates? Instead of having your guests purchase a bunch of things you’ll end up trying to return anyway, why not let them chip in for…

Hello moms:

some of you already know that yoga is good for you, some of you might think that you don't have time for anything, let alone a yoga class. Yes, yoga class would be nice, but you can definitely squeeze 10 minutes every day in your busy schedule, and do a simple yoga exercise at home, while kids are gone to school, or in the evening when they are gone to bed.

Yoga has many health benefits, just to mention few:

1. even a short regular yoga practice can significantly improve your sleep

2. certain poses can aid digestion

3. yoga and meditation can improve your memory and brain function

4. yoga will make you calmer and more relaxed overall, reducing stress and anxiety.

Me and my team at Living Green with Baby are developing yoga miniseries designed specifically for busy moms, so anybody (even busy dads) can do simple poses at home or on a go, and take advantage of the many benefits yoga has to offer. I encourage every busy mom to try some yoga basics, you can follow our easy instructional videos, or you can try a yoga class when you have time and learn few basic poses you will then practice on your own.

But don't forget to listen to your body and stop if you feel pain or excessive discomfort. Little by little you will be able to do more, but don’t push it beyond your limits. Basic yoga should be your helping tool to stay active every day, rather than a physical challenge.

Namaste.

Great idea.  Fit in a little yoga fitness when you can. Building on your practice day by day takes the pressure off.  Helping moms feel that they're improving their health without spending an hour on themselves is a good way to enhance mental and physical health.  Namaste.
