Can you imagine what 10 high school students, 5 coaches, three weeks of their summer break and thousands of dollars can do for community support groups across our nation?

Please help by voting for our project;

OR

We would like to answer that by telling you about how one group is planning just such and endeavor. We will give you the specifics of our trip and hope that you will consider our request.

We have an exciting opportunity that our Girls Varsity Basketball team, here at Capital Christian School will be doing this summer. From July 17, 2010 through August 4, 2010 we will be going on on a cross country mission’s trip. This 20-day mission’s trip we will be reaching out to several shelters and missions across the U.S., along with the youth of New Orleans; that to date have no athletic programs as a result of the 2005 hurricane Katrina. While this trip has opened up a door for us to develop a greater heart of compassion for people around our country, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways.

We are asking for your help in several areas. First and foremost we ask you to pray for the success of this trip. It’s not automatic just because our team shows up. We’ve already begun the planning and have planned various fundraising efforts and frankly, unless the community knows about our fundraiser's, we don’t believe that we will be able to achieve much success. So your prayers are extremely important. Next, we are asking for your support if you can do it; by way of publicity. We will be visiting several 'often overlooked groups' and as you know, any support is always key to their success. You can help spread the word about our trip to others. As you know any publicity about our trip and goals will help to foster an even stronger support for our efforts. Lastly we would appreciate any finacial donations for our trip. Please click here for details.

This is such an exciting part of the trip, as not only will we be giving back and helping to rebuild communities throughout or nation, but through our basketball program. It is such an amazing way to serve.

We're excited about this opportunity and experiences that lie ahead, not only for our team, but for those that they will be serving. We hope you see the value in what they will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of sources. We need to raise enough funds in order to fulfill our goals. In anticipation of this need we have planned a fundraiser with CEAR, Inc. for an EWASTE Collection on Saturday / May 22nd; we would appreciate and publicity you can do to support our efforts.

Our team looks forward to doing great work across our country and being able to let you know all about how successful the team was when they return in August.
