We’ve all heard the saying: the fortune is in your list, and when it comes to building your list, choosing the best autoresponder can be a challenge, particularly with there being so many great systems available.
For most marketers, the choice comes down to only two systems…
Both Aweber and Get Response are excellent systems when it comes to building your list, and because the differences in the two are minor, the choice between the two will ultimately come down what a user is looking for in an autoresponder.
In order to give an honest review both systems have been broken down into small categories.
Both systems based their prices on the number of subscribers. Aweber starts at $19 per month for 0-500 subscribers, however for the first month users can get the system for a $1 trial.
Get Response comes with a free 30 day trial and charges just $15 per month for up to 1000 subscribers. For just $5 more (the cost of a basic Aweber subscription), Get Response gives users 2500 subscribers.
One thing to note. As the number of subscribers rise, the price for Aweber goes down while Get Response moves up. (Ex: 10k-25k subscribers is just $130 per month with Aweber while Get Response charges $65 for up to 10k then jumps tremendously to $145 for up to 25k).
The goal for any marketer is to find a system they can grow with. While Get Response is definitely more cost effective in the beginning stages, based on the higher packages, Aweber wins hands down when it comes to pricing the best system for building your list.
Both systems offer great features for building your list such as:
as well as a number of other basic tools. While Aweber does provide Blog Intergration – the ability to turn your blog posts into email messages, Get Response takes it a step further by providing Video Email Marketing, QR Code Generation, iPhone Applications, an Image Gallery, Multimedia Studio, and feature called Get Subscribers – a pay per subscriber service that adds opt-ins to your list.
It is that list of extra services that gives Get Response the edge in providing the most useful tools for building your list and for that Get Response wins the features category.
One of the most, if not THE most important aspect of deciding whether an autoresponder will be effective when it comes to building your list is the delivery rate of your emails. While there are no definite statistics on which system is better in terms of deliverability – most of that depends on the type of messages being sent, and where the leads were generated among other factors – both systems are looked upon favorably throughout the internet marketing industry and are believed to have a 99% deliverability rate.
Both Aweber and Get Response are excellent systems for building your list, and either one will do the job. What it really boils down to is what you’re looking for. If price is a factor, Aweber will yield you better results in the long run, however if you are looking for a ton of features, or a system that will make your emails stand out in a variety of formats, Get Response is your choice.
Wishing you growth and prosperity,
