So what makes a cool mom? I always though of myself as a cool mom! I'm very involved with my children, I play sports with my oldest son, we bake, I always have his friends over, we go cool places! I mean come on, I think that's cool! But nope, my five year old informed me a few days ago that I am so not cool! Now you might wonder how this conversation came about so let me paint it for you!
It was a Thursday evening and I was taking him to the mall to buy new sneakers! Well, mission accomplished and he got his new sneakers! So I decided you know what, while we are here I need a new belt. So we are in the store and I put my hand on this black belt, with some silver squares in the back. I think hmmm, trendy yet not to over the edge! And bam it hits! "Mom you can not get that belt" and my reply "why not?" He says "because that is a cool belt and you are not cool, only cool people wear a belt like that" I felt crushed, Im not cool, are you kidding me, pinch me is this a nightmare. Those are the thoughts that ran through my mind. "Ok" all tough I say, then whats a cool mom like. he says " you know, some tattoos, pierced face, skull clothing, that's cool" I think yeah right teachers of America look out because I need a new style for teaching your children lol, Mrs Perez goes wild, lol!
I was so hurt that night, over a few simple words. every request he asked I said " yes your uncool mom will get it for you lol! He later said your not totally uncool, but you just dont look cool, your just a mom!

Parent tip: skulls and piercing are the in thing, you think your boss would mind!

Well, uncool mom signing off!
