The kids inflatable pool always ends up in close proximity to their pink house in the back yard. Cutie Pie decided to do a little experiment in the sink, which he had already filled with a mixture of sand from the sandbox and water from the pool. The boys only have a few cups and plates in their house and Cutie Pie decided on his own to see what would float the best. Above is the first item he tried to float. He determined the little play yellow cup does float.

This is a little measuring cup he was using in the pool. He also decided this would float.
On to the plate, which Sweet Pea kindly was getting for him in the 2nd picture. Cutie Pie decided this too would float. He then became quite discouraged that he could not find anything in his little pink house that would sink. Then he decided to play with the little yellow cup by filling it with water.
To his delight...
...it sunk!

I was just tickled he tried this experiment on his own,
and that he invited Sweet Pea to join him!
