We went to the doctor today for issues related to a cold.  The doctor had to prescribe antibiotics for Christopher.  You are saying to yourself...so what?  Sounds like normal kid stuff to me?  It was EXCEPT for the fact that Christopher was FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE prescribed antibiotics BY MOUTH!!!  When he was tube fed all medications had to be in liquid form in order to administer them through his feeding tube.  The doctor even gave us a copy of the prescription as a souvenier.  It was all pretty exciting...except for the fact that he needed to go to the doctor in the first place.  That prescription really brightened his day.  He was all smiles when he SWALLOWED his first pill!
