With Thanksgiving days away, I sit in my living room surrounded by cookbooks, cooking magazines, menus, and shopping lists. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is in the autumn with all the pretty fall colors, and because it only involves cooking a meal for loved ones.
Over the years, I have found Thanksgiving dinner to be one of the easiest meals to cook. A little turkey, a little dressing, and some cranberry concoction…and pie. However, it wasn’t always this easy. The first Thanksgiving dinner I cooked was when we were living in Fargo, ND. My brother was visiting from Minneapolis and it was the first dinner party Tom and I had hosted.
